What the app stores, what the AI summary sees, what is deleted and when, who can see what, and why each Atlassian permission is requested.

The app runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure. Its AI summary uses a model hosted by Atlassian (Forge LLMs). It sends no update, personal data or summary to us or to any third party. We operate no servers and keep no copy of your data; we only see what you choose to send us in a support request.

What the app stores

In Atlassian's Forge hosted storage, inside your own Atlassian cloud instance:

The app does not store issue titles, names, email addresses, avatars or IP addresses. Issue titles and names are fetched by each viewer's browser from Jira, as that viewer, when the page is shown.

What the AI summary sees

When someone asks for the day's summary, the app sends the model, hosted by Atlassian through Forge LLMs, the day's answers and the keys of linked issues. People are identified only as P1, P2 and so on. The model never receives names, account IDs, email addresses or issue titles. The answer is stored as the day's summary and names are put back on each viewer's screen. Requests to the model are processed within Atlassian's platform under Atlassian's terms for Forge LLMs; we do not send them anywhere else. A project admin can turn summaries off.

What is deleted, and when

Who can see what

WhoWhat
People who can browse the project in JiraThe team page, everyone's updates of the last 14 days and the summary. Linked issues show their title only if Jira lets that person see the issue.
Project admins and Jira adminsAlso the settings.
People who can't browse the projectNothing: the app checks with Jira before showing or changing anything.
Vantelia, the app's developerNothing. We have no servers and no copy of your data. The app's logs record only the name of an operation and the type of an error, never account IDs, update text or summaries.

What the app does not do

Why each permission is requested

PermissionWhy it is needed
storage:appStores updates, the day's summary, project settings and short-lived permission checks in Forge hosted storage inside your instance.
read:jira-workLets each viewer's browser, as that viewer, search the issues they recently worked on to suggest them, and read the titles of linked issues.
read:jira-userChecks with Jira that a person may browse (or administer) the project, and shows people's names on the viewer's screen.
read:project:jiraReads the project the page belongs to.
Forge LLMs (llm module)Generates the day's summary with a model hosted by Atlassian, inside Atlassian's platform.

Where the data lives, and for how long

In Atlassian's Forge hosted storage, within the Atlassian cloud environment of your own instance and subject to its data residency, for the retention period the project admin sets (90 days by default), and as described above on uninstall.

Legal basis and your rights

Where the GDPR applies, your Atlassian instance administrator is the data controller for the data described above. It is created and kept inside your own instance and we do not receive a copy of it; our position is that we act as neither a data controller nor a data processor in respect of it.

What the app offers today: each person can edit or delete their own update of the current day; admins choose how long updates are kept; uninstalling the app removes all of its data, subject to Atlassian's retention. For anything else, contact soporte@vantelia.es.

Support data

If you contact support, we receive whatever you choose to include. Please keep the text of updates out of support requests.
